History Of " The Yellow Dog Jazz Band "
by Gerry Snyder
It was the fall of 1989 when my phone rang with a request from Robin Wetterau for my presence at a rehearsal of a group called "Ragtime Jubilee". Robin called it a "Trial" band. I joined the group and we rehearsed for about 6 or 8 months. We were not very successful in getting what Robin wanted and he disbanded the group. In 1991 he called me again and said he was putting a new band together.  This time he said he knew what he wanted and how to get it. This new band was to be called "The Yellow Dog Jazz Band" This website is dedicated to Robin Wetterau who passed on in Aug. 2000. When his wife Gerta died, in order to settle the estate, all assets had to be sold. In June of 2009 I purchased the entire Yellow Dog library of arrangements by Robin & Charlie Sonnistine. (See arrangement's page)

Also available are 3 CD's and 1 DVD (See music page)
